Hello! My name is Phil Lewis. I am a journalist from Detroit, Michigan.

I was inspired to launch another newsletter after Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter. More specifically — after he started banning journalists. Many asked where they’d be able to find me in case Twitter implodes, and I would hate to lose contact with everyone who reads my timeline for news updates. So, I’m creating this newsletter for people who want to keep up with my work and the stories I’m reading.

I plan on making this a weekly newsletter. Expect emails on Fridays. I also plan on keeping this newsletter free for all, but you can support it by telling a friend about this newsletter.

If you’re familiar with my Twitter, you know I have various interests. This newsletter will be similar. But the end goal will always be the same — for readers to come away having learned something new. Or seeing a story they may have missed in all the online noise. I’ll post my own interviews and stories here as well. I will keep this newsletter pretty direct and straight to the point.
