These people have more nerve than Leo Durocher...I have written at length on other posts on the insanity of saying that "slavery is good."
I'll add one more point on the evil of slavery...it put slave owners in a permanent and paranoid terror of their "property," fearing rebellion to this day.
Owners were thus enslaved themselves. By bigotry, fear, and racism.
In America, of course. "Slaveowners lived in paranoid terror of their slaves." -- historian Al Nofi, in an overview article on the American Civil War, for the precise sentence.
Let me guess...for you, the South must rise again, the "War of Northern Aggression" was fought over 'States' Rights,' and them darkies were happy being whipped and raped on an hourly basis. Whaddayathink about Jews?
Mind you… this is how we got here in the first place. I’m sure my ancestors weren’t too interested in leaving their homes to endure torture, pain, and arduous labor for funsies.
"Should should should," says a privileged white woman. "You should shut up about freedom and get back to work, poors. Don't expect equality or rights. Shut up and work, or we will murder everything you care about. If you hurry up and comply, there's time for you to play it cool before the white supremacist death squad comes to your own neighborhood."
I'm not proud that some of my English rellies MAY have been merchant sailors involved in that business, although it's unlikely.
I am VERY PROUD that some of my English rellies were in the Royal Navy on anti-slavery patrols, which is dead certain. I would hear stories about some distant cousin in a boarding party, getting lied to by the ship's master, storming down the hatches, breaking open chains, and finding stinking rows of humans all chained together in dreadful conditions. Left him livid and wanting to take his cutlass (issued to CPOs) and behead the slave ship's skipper.
Someone here can tell me what happened after those ships were intercepted. I actually don't know that part.
This museum is not about them or for their comfort, its about us and our history in this country... The nerve of these people.
Did it ever occur to you that you're getting played?

And that happened when?

You don't guess so good, fuckhead.
A man who uses obscenities in his arguments is a man who has NO arguments.

Could this be because she is another Barbi doll. This is getting sickening.
I believe there’s maybe one to two floors dedicated to the transatlantic slave trade.

Wasn’t it Ron DeSantis who said slavery was just Trade School?
