My grandparents’ house caught fire 2 years ago and they dealt with something similar. Within 30 minutes of the fire starting, there was a swarm of contractors trying to persuade them to rebuild with their businesses. They came back the next day and eventually convinced my grandpa to sign. They completely took advantage of him during the rebuilding process and he was miserable. This is such a horrible, predatory practice, especially against old folks and folks with fewer resources.
